APPROACH

Our approach is unique in the industry: we train you to succeed. For any specific area of poor performance (portfolio, projects, operations, etc) we work with all of the management and staff that are involved with the area of poor performance, which we call an Area of Constraint (AoC). All of the management and staff involved in the AoC, whom we call Resources of Constraint (RoC) are taught to change what they do, how they do it and to sustain the changes implemented.

Our approach is non-threatening, educational and inclusive. Rather than a directive to change, or having a change done to you, we help you to change. One of the reasons that many initiatives fail, or deliver limited results, is due to the fact that management and staff could not or would not change their behaviour.

With our approach, we work to achieve buy-in at each stage of the Viable Output© service: the measures of performance; the problems, root causes and core problems; the interventions required to fix the problems and improve performance. If buy-in is not achieved, we will disengage and help you with a Remedial Action.

All Viable Output© services are delivered using the Viable Output Cycle©, which consists of the following 4 stages:

• Baseline – the management and staff of the specific area of poor performance (e.g. project) are shown what data to collect. This data is then analyzed and compiled into a Performance Baseline. This baseline will be used to measure improvements in performance.

• Diagnostic – we work with management and staff to create a Situation Profile that identifies the current symptoms, underlying root causes, foundational core problems and interventions. The diagnostic provides the framework to change the existing poor performance.

• Acceptance – this stage is a significant differentiation of our services; we coach your management and staff to change what they do, how they do it and to sustain the changes to be implemented. While people may be committed to change, these same individuals may have difficulty with accepting change.

• Intervention – this stage implements the specific changes required to fix existing problems and to improve performance. All necessary techniques are taught to your management and staff so they can make the changes themselves, which contributes to the institutionalization of the changes, which in turn contributes to improved performance.

All Viable Output© services are provided using one or more of the following options:

Intervention

We come in and work with your management and staff to effect the specific changes required to implement a specific service and to improve your performance. All techniques are implemented with essential training provided so that your team can sustain the change and reap the significant value that results.

Workshop

We come in and teach the techniques to your management and staff, using real life examples and data from your organization. This option is useful for those organizations who have already had an Intervention and want to quickly implement a specific Viable Output© service themselves, leveraging staff who have already experienced an Intervention.

Retainer

We provide support to you and your team after an Intervention or Workshop. Support is provided in blocks of time for selected individuals or a group.

GUARANTEE

JVG Consulting guarantees improved results within 20 days, after all necessary changes are implemented. We benchmark results against your existing previous performance and industry averages, and/or previously agreed upon outcomes.

FEES

Our goal is to effect a positive change within your organization, with quantifiable, verifiable results. We focus upon delivering concrete value to you. Consequently, the Fees Invested are fixed price and based upon the size of the Intervention or Workshop, not time and materials. The size of Intervention or Workshop is based upon the number of people involved.

JVG Consulting believes that fees should be based upon the quantifiable value provided to our clients. We see time and materials billing as unethical.
